  • Drawings realized between 2015 and 2017, made with black ink and a toothbrush on paper

    My drawings are illuminations of mazes, caverns, and landscapes with shapes evoking masses of concrete bathed in distant lights. I seek to depict the modern urban entanglements, with massive and invasive geometric forms softened by lighting inspired by that of theaters.

    Contemporary environments, plunging into abysses, frozen and deserted like ancient ruined structures can be.

    The work is focused on contrast—monochrome, dazzling lights, and projected shadows; modern versus ancient; abstract areas that become landscapes through light; an impression of confinement in open areas and distorted perspectives.

    Dessins réalisés entre 2015 et 2017, réalisés à l'encre noire et à la brosse à dents sur papier

    Mes dessins sont des mises en lumière de dédales, de cavernes et de paysages aux formes évoquant des masses de béton baignées de lueurs lointaines. Je cherche à dépeindre les enchevêtrements urbains modernes, aux formes géométriques massives et envahissantes, adoucis par un éclairage inspiré par celui des théâtres.

    Des environnements contemporains, plongeant dans des abîmes, figés et déserts comme peuvent l’être des structures antiques en ruine.

    Le travail est orienté sur le contraste, celui du monochrome, celui des lumières éblouissantes et des ombres projetées, du moderne et de l’ancien, des zones abstraites qui deviennent paysage par la lumière, de l’impression d’enfermement dans des zones ouvertes et de perspectives faussées
