Athens drawings / Dessins athéniens
My practice revolves around black monochrome, environment-scale drawings driven by improvisation. Built through a single technique, scratching layers of paint on acetate sheets to reveal the light, my work sits at the intersection of architecture, scenography, archeology, expressionist cinema, and dreams.
Created while living in Athens, all pieces are realized in a 70×50 cm format, designed for ease of storage and transport during a period when I traveled frequently
Ma pratique s'articule autour de dessins monochromes noirs grands formats, guidés par l'improvisation. Construite autour d'un procédé unique, le grattage de couches de peinture sur rhodoïd pour faire émerger la lumière, mon approche se situe à la croisée de l'architecture, de la scénographie, de l'archéologie, du cinéma expressionniste et du rêve.
Réalisées lors de mon séjour à Athènes, toutes ces pièces adoptent le format 70×50 cm, pensé pour faciliter le stockage et le transport à une époque où je me déplaçais beaucoup
